Twins fan making the trip down re: parking

Alright, so here's the deal…I'm flying into town and will be attending the game with my FIL who lives in the area, but he'll be picking me up from Hobby.

Assuming there are no shenanigans with my flight, we'll be downtown plenty early. Any insight on parking would be appreciated. Should I bother with pre-purchasing a parking pass, or just do a cash lot, and if so, any idea how much it'll be jacked up for a playoff game? Or maybe there are some park n rides that some of you might have knowledge of? Again, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
