Trying to find homeless person James Hammond

James is a Houston resident who has been homeless for the past five years. I'm a friend of his family's and I'm here trying to find him to get him some support. It's a unique situation – James was travelling in India in 2014 and he was arrested at the border because his visa had expired. He was put in a facility in India where he was treated extremely poorly and was tortured. James was released from the Indian facility and was flown back to the US, but he didn't receive the medical support he needed to recover from the trauma, and his mental health deteriorated and he became homeless. I found out about James, because years before, I was kept at the same facility in India and was subject to the same abusive treatment. This is how I found out about James. I was fortunate enough to recover from that experience and now I'm trying to find James to help him recover also – if there's someone that can help him and get through to him, I hope that it's me – someone who knows exactly what he's been through. I'm making a documentary about the facility in India in the hope that it will be reformed or closed down.
