Trip planning help?

I’m not sure if this is usual content or not for this sub but…I’m planning a 24 hour trip to Houston in the next few months to bring my daughter to her first concert! We are flying into Hobby airport the morning of the concert and will have about 6 hours to kill before checking in the hotel- the show is at White Oak music hall. We are looking at getting a hotel near the venue. I’m unfamiliar with the area! Is there any good shopping in either area of the airport or venue? Good food/fun restaurants suggestions? Any help is appreciated TIA 😚
