Trash cans and parking in the heights

Hey folks,

I have an estranged neighbor complaining about my roomates and their cars taking up street parking which is public parking. One of the arguments I heard was about trashcans and the 3ft rule which I totally understand and personally enforce, but it's still an argument I keep hearing.

Has anyone else had similar encounters? How're you handling?
