My family and I (two boys, husband and myself) will be in Houston early April after the eclipse and it just happens to be my youngest boy's 5th birthday. I already plan on taking them to the space center but I was hoping for some more suggestions regarding activities and places to eat.

We will be away from home and friends, and yes he will have a party when we get back, but I was hoping to surprise him throughout the day. Some ideas I had were a kid-friendly restaurant that will sing happy birthday, perhaps a cool themed toy store to pick a gift? Any other activities where he might get birthday treats/surprises would be great. As long as it's family-friendly and safe we are probably up for it 🙂
