Toolmaker invests in the next generation of skilled trades

Stanley Black & Decker is ramping up its efforts to attract more people into the construction and manufacturing sectors.

In September, the company announced a five-year program called the Empower Makers Global Impact Challenge to support vocational skills training and reskilling programs in the industry. Starting in October, nonprofits worldwide are eligible to apply for up to $5 million in grants per year.
