To the Gentleman Near NRG Station, Thank You, Whoever You Are.
I still feel a little bad for not thanking this kind man properly. A few years ago, I was about to buy a metro ticket near the NRG station. Just then, an older gentleman came running up and said, “It’s free today! It’s free today!” The train had already arrived, so I had to rush to board it without really thanking him.
Now I’m planning another trip to Houston, and I remembered that moment. It stuck with me. Texas sometimes gets a bad reputation, but honestly, I’ve met some of the friendliest people there. That small act of kindness meant more than he probably realized. I was about to cry even sometimes. So whoever you are, thank you so much!!
