Tip: Replace your old pipes with PEX piping if/when you have the chance.

Back in 2013 I was having low flow issues with my hot water. Per my plumber’s recommendation, I had them replace the 1983-era galvanized steel hot water pipes that run thru my attic with PEX piping. My plumber recommended PEX as it expands if there is a hard freeze….especially since my pipes flow thru my attic.

Luckily I have not experienced any leaking pipes this past week. My heart goes out to folks who are suffering with plumbing issues.

For folks who will be having repair work , now is the time to upgrade to PEX.
