TIL Jose Altuve has participated in more no-hitters than any other player

Altuve has played in 8 no-hitters:

1) Mike Fiers vs. the Dodgers, 2015 2) multiple pitchers vs. the Mariners, 2019 3) Justin Verlander at the Blue Jays, 2019 4) multiple pitchers at the Yankees, 2022 5) multiple pitchers at the Phillies in the World Series, 2022 6) Framber Valdez vs. the Guardians, 2023 7) Ronel Blanco vs. the Blue Jays, 2024

I realized the Astros have been blessed in the no-hitters department, but had never considered Altuve's place in the midst of it. Pretty neat.

…oh, what's that? I only listed seven? Silly me. I forgot to mention that Altuve was also the starting second baseman for the Astros when Matt Cain of the Giants pitched his perfect game in 2012. Learning this fact felt like the baseball equivalent of learning that woolly mammoths may have still been alive while the Egyptian pyramids were being built.
