Tiktok – Linemen are stalled because Centerpoint is attempting to negotiate pay and some have been waiting in parking lots on Centerpoint to give them orders on where to go

As I’m sweating at 4am, counting down the hours of sleep I can manage if I fall asleep right now (but can’t because it’s too hot to sleep), sans power…I happened upon this Tiktok. If you read the comments, there are linemen in town from out of state commenting and confirming they are sitting and waiting in parking lots, awaiting orders from Centerpoint on where to go, and some are being asked to wait while Centerpoint negotiates their pay rates.

Now normally, this could be easy to write off as trolls posing as linemen…but there are multiple. I’ve also seen a couple of the parking lots full of linemen parked in trucks (and have seen others on here, Ring, and NextDoor, comment they have as well), and many have also commented they haven’t seen trucks out in areas that have been sitting in orange (assessing) or blue (assigned) since Centerpoint’s bogus map came online.
