Thursday night spots

I just moved back to the Houston area and am going to stay downtown for my anniversary. Are there any nice spots to go for a drink on a Thursday night? (We are in our late 30’s.) The last time I hung out downtown a couple years ago, I went to an outside bar on a lawn that was pretty cool, but I don’t remember what it was called. Thanks
