Three Transcendent Dishes in Houston

What are three transcendent dishes you’ve eaten in Houston? I’m not talking restaurants. I’m talking specific dishes at a restaurant. And I’m not talking good or even great. I’m talking world-class, eye-closing, tell all your friends about it, limit-the-number-of-times-I-eat-it-because-I’ll-either-go-broke-or-die extraordinary. No chains either, although I would totally understand if you wanted to include the spicy thigh at Popeye’s, the porcini-rubbed bone-in ribeye with aged balamic vinegar at Capital Grille, and the regular glazed donut at Shipley’s. Here are mine – the Italian cream cake at Acadian Baker (sadly, now closed), the “traditional” fan tuan at Tao Rice Roll, and the Pho Ga Kho at Pho Binh.
