Thoughts on TX-18 race?

I’ve been following the campaign trails of Christian Menefee and Isaiah Martin and I wanted to get others’ thoughts on the two candidates. Although I love the youth in politics, I’m not sure if I would like a career politician to take the TX18 spot. To my knowledge, Martin has only worked in politics and has no additional work experience that could relate him to the average Houstonian whereas Menefee has established a legal career (though closely associated to politics) where he has provided pro bono work to the community. I will say, Martin has undoubtedly built a large social media presence and seems to utilize his platform to discuss politics topics appropriately- which is great for educating people about politics online.

What are everyone else’s thoughts on this ?
