Thoughts and opinions on wearing a cowboy hat for every day wear

I can’t say I’m a native to Houston, or even Texas for that matter, but I have lived here for 10 years now and recently bought my first pair of boots that I pretty much wear daily. I love them. I’m starting to embrace the Texas spirit.

But now, I’d like to occasionally wear my cowboy hat I just bought. How weird would it be to wear it out in public from time to time say at like a bar, grocery store, general shopping, other errands?

I don’t want stick out like a sore thumb but I’m just trying to justify spending $$$ on this thing lol I don’t want to just wear it at the damn rodeo…
