This is a long shot, but does anyone know of local Native American-related sites/local legends, or resources to find more on them?

It’s a lot harder to find information on southeast Texas as it is in the rest of the state, I’ve found. I’m aware of the Akokisa Village reconstruction in Jones Park in Humble, and the Spanish mission site near Wallisville, but I’ve read online about local lore surrounding burial mounds and “Indian graveyards” and I’m really not sure where or how to get more information on it. Specifically I wanted to ask this because I read an article mentioning a mound in what is now Bear Creek Park, but Google doesn’t seem to have any information on it.

I don’t know if anyone here has deeper roots in the area (both my parents moved here from somewhere else and I know that’s true of a lot of Houstonians) and knows of any stories, or possibly any sort of sites or collections of such stories, but I’d appreciate any help. Thanks!
