This game against Seahawks almost feels like a rematch of the Vikings game last season

Obviously, facing Darnold again, but also a superstar receiver in JSN who's utilized and plays pretty similarly to Jettas, similar run game, and a defense that runs heavy stunts with heavy hitters in the 2nd level. I think we're better equipped this time around with a better backfield, better prepared for stunts, and playing against a softer oline.

I bet Darnold is going to try to run the same gameplan. Every talking head thinks Darnold will try to hit a bunch of deep passes for big plays like he's been doing, but I think Texans also need to be prepared for the opposite. He was very efficient against the Texans last season and didn't need to throw deep bombs to beat the Texans with 4 TDs. Most of his passes were short to medium range because defense played soft coverage, so he took what they gave him. Can't play too soft and allow him to convert a buncha 3rd downs this time.

Texans absolutely cannot go scoreless in the first half and try to play catchup again. They have to go out there and be super aggressive and get ahead early. Take advantage of Nico's plus matchup. Another soft part of Seattle's defense is their on-ball defense. CJ's gotta trust his elite anticipation and ball placement. Throw with confidence and trust his receivers to go get it. They've rarely failed him when he gets the ball in their catch radius.

On defense, pressure will be key to forcing mistakes from Darnold. This might be the most important factor in the game. I think Texans will be better equipped this time with help from Rankins, Autry, Settle and the emergence of Togiai.

I'm not going to make any score predictions in this post because I don't want to jinx it lol. We'll see what happens Monday
