Thinking about relocating to Houston, seeking input and advice

I’ve lived in the Midwest (Ohio) my entire life and am starting to feel like I want to change things up, starting around this time next year. Houston is on my shortlist of destinations and I’d like to hear from people who live there now, especially anyone who’s recently moved there.

• What do you like most/dislike most?
• Which areas are best to live (my demo is 23 y/o, straight M and single, mid 70k income)?
• What is there to do, especially outdoors?
• What do you wish you knew before you relocated to Houston?

And finally, I’m going to try and visit Houston this Fall before making any final decisions. Anywhere in particular I should check out?
