Things to do with Dogs

I am going to be visiting Houston with my kids (toddlers) and dog… What are some things I can do that will be enjoyable for kids and I can also bring my dog. I am not looking for dog parks. I saw Houston Arboretum have a Playscape, trails, gardens, and space for kids to run around. Is there anything else?
