Since 2014, the Astros have had one player with rookie status (that is, they did not play enough games or pitch enough innings prior) that has been a great addition to the team.

2021 – Luis Garcia*

*this player was called up before that year but did not exceed rookie limits until the year listed
And now, I believe it's time to designate 2024 Astros rookie of the year as Spencer Arrighetti. Had a shaky start to the season but since the All-Star Break he's been phenomenal. Hope to see him become an Astros legend!
