Marcus Davenport trade: Saints give up picks 27, 147, 2019 first. Saints receive pick 14

Anderson is miles better than Davenport was as a prospect, as both the best edge rusher and pretty unanimously best defensive prospect in the draft. Marcus Davenport was… not quite that.

Obviously, our next years’ first rounder is projected to be higher than New Orleans’ was. But I hate people talking about this like some franchise-ruining trade when we already have a first for next season and this is extremely comparable to a recent, first-round trade for an edge rusher
