The State of Downtown/Montrose

It’s been a while since I visited the area. I’m not old, but even I feel like the Montrose area is being over run by rich figure heads buying up so much of the land/buildings. I don’t want to stop progress, but it def feels like homeless people, people with low income, lgbt+, POC, etc are being pushed out in favor of more affluent looking businesses. Areas of downtown are becoming food deserts, it’s getting harder to find affordable places to live. I also don’t believe protesting/harassing consumers or employees of these establishments are the answer either. Is there something that can be done? Is there anything to do or is this just part of a bigger problem that we can’t stop? What are y’alls thoughts?
