The Michael Conforto 2/30m deal we offered him last year was 15m last season and 15m this upcoming season?

As in year 1 would've been that final month + postseason, and year 2 would be this upcoming season?

Because if that were the case, Boras/Conforto cost themselves some money if that is accurate given he did sign 2/36m.

He could've cashed in on 30m by the end of this season and potentially gotten a bigger payday since it was going to be a prove-it year for him.

Like thank god we won the postseason, but just one more bat assuming he didn't forget how to hit would've made things so much less stressful.

Also I would rather have a HEALTHY Brantley over Conforto simply due to their batting style. Brantley's consistent hitting style is so important for us and we were missing him big time in the lineup.
