The Metro Bus

I’m visiting family and was planning on taking the bus from the airport. My relatives are very concerned and I suspect they are being a bit bougie and over blowing the danger.

I’m familiar with navigating city buses and will only have one bag. I’m a grown man and am not flashy. I understand it’s probably going to stink and take a long time but that’s not a big deal to me. Is it reasonably safe to take the bus? I’ll transfer twice on my route.
