The fact that we’ve kept Forrest Whitley this long is interesting

In my opinion it tell us one of two things.

1. They still see something in him and still have faith that he could “get it”.

2. Our farm (pitchers especially) is that badly depleted.

It’s been 6 years since drafting him. It is rare that major league teams hang onto ‘prospects’ for that long.

I would assume him being 6’7 and having a deceiving arm slot to be part of it. Just can’t seem to find that elite control anymore. Or any control for that matter.

I wonder what the front office’s viewpoint is on him.

Personally I still don’t know what he looks like.
