The Colts are in a worse spot than the Texans

Both teams are 1-4, but the Colts were supposed to be a playoff team. Not only that, but their situation is going to get really tenuous really fast if they’re 4-7.

Why is it going to get really tenuous? Well, if Wentz plays 75% of the snaps, then the Colts lose a first round pick. I doubt they want to give up a top 12 pick to let Wentz keep showing how average he is, and by switching Wentz out, they could have a top 10 pick. Every week will have leaks about the Colts drama, and it will be great.

I believe if the Colts are 4-7 by week 11, he’s going to be benched and Ballard or Reich or both will be fired in the off-season.

Meanwhile, the Texans will have no bad contracts, a top 7 pick, a top 5 QB as either an asset or as our QB, and a ton of cap space to get good really fast.

We have one year of being terrible potentially, whereas the Colts are stuck with Wentz for another year barring them giving up a lot to move him.
