The city doesn’t have enough malls or places where non- driving people can just walk and do people watching or browsing around.

The thing that really annoy me about Houston is that there's only one mall in the entire city. I love walking aimlessly at the mall and I really miss the hustle and bustle of people using public transit or just strolling on the street. The least they can do is to add more bike lanes. This city is completely car-centred, and there are no places where people can just walk around and congregate and do some people watching? Is this a usual thing in a US city? Where I came from, there are malls where the public transit will take you to. I don't know if I can ever get used to this city…
