Thank you Astros
I started watching the astros around 2017 when they won it all when I was a freshman in highschool at 14. I had never been interested in watching sports prior to their 2017 run, and from that point on I decided to watch the Astros games that my dad would previously watch alone, in an attempt to connect with him more. 6 years later, I'm 20 now, I've been in love with Houston baseball and football, my dad and I have shown up to a few Astros games and we always have an awesome time watching them together talking about the state of the game. And even now, over half a decade later, they're STILL kicking ass.
It's been a couple hours now since they just reached their 7th consecutive ALCS appearance and my dad and I couldn't be any happier. We aren't the most hardcore of fans, but the entertainment and positive vibes Astros baseball has provided us has made me closer to my dad than ever before and I couldn't give enough thanks to the Astros organization for the bond we share over this sport. Come hell or high water, he and I will still be catching up with our Astros.
If you have any stories like this of your own feel free to share and keep the positive vibes going this postseason. Go Astros! 🧡🤟
