Texas Winos is a SCAM
This company puts on wine-fest events and operates wine tours in various big cities in Texas.
I've been a customer of Texas Winos since 2017 and figured I would invest. I did a brief review search and, even though there were numerous complaints, I decided to go ahead. First red flag, aside from the bad reviews, was my credit card being double charged for my investment amount. Luckily my bank blocked the second charge and Richard Nunez, the owner, explained the second charge away as a glitch. Not exactly reasurring. A year later, after the maturation date of the investment came and went, they ceased answering calls and emails. Straight up ghosted me and, essentially, stole my very sizeable investment.
I thoroughly enjoyed the events they put on. Discovered some really good wines. But there is no denying that Richard Nunez is a scammer and a thief. Never experienced a canceled event or tour but there are so many reports of this happening and mysterious 'double charges' happening, which I did experience. Utterly disappointing.
Steer clear of Texas Winos!
