Texas unemployment claims continue upward trend through March

The number of jobless claims filed by Texas workers has increased for three straight weeks after falling in February, according data from the U.S. Department of Labor.

First-time claims for unemployment insurance filed in Texas totaled nearly 84,000 during the week ended March 27. Jobless claims in Texas increased by around 2,400 week over week.
