Texas Singer Post Malone Made Houston Bartender’s Christmas With $20,000 Tip

The night before his Christmas Day performance alongside Houston’s hometown hero Beyoncé at NRG Stadium, singer Post Malone spread some holiday cheer at a local Houston bar.
Post Malone, who spent part of his childhood in Texas, and country singer Shaboozey, who also sang with Queen Bey during the Texans’s halftime show, stopped into the Railyard in the Galleria area for some drinks with fans. According to a representative for the Railyard, fans at the bar offered to pay for Post’s drinks all night. Still, the singer insisted on being charged a small amount so that he could tip the staff, and when Railyard bartender Renee Brown closed out her shift, she noticed that Post Malone had added a $20,000 tip to his $1 bill.

Brown, a single mother who works two jobs and homeschools her daughter, said in a statement that Post Malone’s generosity and his “life-changing gift” blew her away. “This definitely wasn’t the Christmas Eve I was expecting, but one I’m forever thankful to have had,” Brown said.
Trey Melcher, owner of the Railyard, also expressed his gratitude for Post Malone, who was noted for making bargoers feel comfortable. The bar has reportedly been visited by other celebrities, including actors David Spade and Keifer Sutherland, “but this unexpected act of kindness made all of our holiday seasons brighter,” says Melcher.
