Texas leaders allocate $100.5M for school safety, mental health ahead of 2023 legislative session

Up to $5 million will be used to evaluate mental health services in Uvalde in the wake of the May 24 school shooting. The Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Center was asked to provide lawmakers with an assessment of the community’s needs.
