Texas energy companies surge back up Fortune 500 list, led by Exxon, Phillips 66
Texas has the most companies on the Fortune 500 list for the second year in a row, and Houston accounts for nearly half of the state’s total. Much of that is thanks to energy companies, which had a strong year.
