Texas Education Agency’s plan to take over Houston Independent School District is official
The move comes after the Texas Supreme Court in January vacated a temporary injunction blocking a TEA takeover of HISD and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner revealed during a March 1 Houston City Council meeting that he heard the takeover would be imminent.
