Texas congressmen pitch Houston for U.S. Space Command headquarters
The United States Air Force is searching for a permanent base location for the newly formed U.S. Space Command, and Houston delegates have thrown the city of Houston in the ring for consideration.
The Air Force announced it expanded its search of eligible locations for consideration and revised its approach for determining the permanent location in a May 15 press release. The Department of the Air Force also released the screening and evaluation criteria.
