Texas brewers support proposed legislation for home beer delivery

Beer brewers cannot ship directly to homes in Texas. They want to change that, and argue it could be an economic benefit for the state, which already allows wineries to ship hundreds of thousands of cases to consumers per year. As one local brewery owner put it, “You can have wine shipped directly to your doorstep from a Texas winery, a six pack of beer added to your grocery delivery, or a margarita added to your taco and queso order. It’s time to end the prohibition on breweries and brewpubs reaching their customers in this same way.”
