Texas-based gastropub chain files for bankruptcy, closes a Houston location

Bar Louie, a gastropub chain based in Addison, Texas, has put itself up for sale after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, according to a Jan. 27 press release.

The company said it plans to continue operating its more than 90 locations across the country in the normal course of business. The company did close “underperforming locations to strengthen its operational and financial position” ahead of the announcement, the release said.
