Texans need to fool everyone including themselves into thinking we’re taking either Anderson or Carter.

The Bears need to be sufficiently nervous about us using our first pick on one of the two defensive standouts. If they think there’s a legitimate chance we’ll do it, they’ll be much less likely to trade out of #1. But in order to actually fool anyone, we have to genuinely consider doing it. It costs us nothing and preserves the most options. Further, if they do follow through, they’ll land a transcendent anchor for Demeco’s defense while still being able to package that Browns pick with other draft assets to trade up for Levis or Stroud in the picks 5-8 range.
