“Texans gave away too much for an LB”

What people fail to realize is we did not swap #12 for #3, give away our #34 and 2024’s 1st round pick (not a lot fr) for Will Anderson, we gave all that away for the combination of CJ Stroud AND Will Anderson. This Trade does not happen any other way. If the Panther choose Anthony Richardson we would not have been able to compete in a trading War with other teams looking to trade up for Stroud/Bryce at #3 (or would have had to given up way more) if the Texans choose Will Anderson at #2 it’s the same deal. Nick Caserio knew drafting the best QB in the draft at #2 takes off most of the value other teams saw in the #3 overall pick, no one was going to give up as much for any other player in the draft as they would a potential franchise QB (especially not AR15 those people were dreaming). People need to stop thinking about it as Texans trading up for Will Anderson and start realizing we traded up for a combo of the 2 best players in the draft.
