Tesla’s timeline has Austin factory opening next year

Site work started on the Tesla factory even before the company officially announced, in late July, it would build its next factory in the city. Now it is moving forward at incredible speed, and is looking for more than 100 hires locally as well as companies to help it build the $1.1 billion plant.
