Temp tag question, unique situation

Hello. I'm reaching out to the Houston sub to see if anyone has done something similar to the situation I am in.

I bought a new(used) truck at an auction, from a city in Florida near where my parents live, I have the Florida title in my name(parents mailed it to me) I need to go pick up the truck next week and drive it back to Houston. Im trying to find out what temporary tag I can get to drive it back.

I don't have a Florida tag to put on it from the auction.

I looked up the one trip permit but the vin lookup is not working on the Dps website so I can't print the permit. Does anyone have any ideas?

Edit: I have an appointment Thursday to transfer the Florida title to a Texas title. Will I be able to get plates to bring with my to put on truck if I am not able to register the truck at that appointment because the truck is not here to get an inspection?
