Tech salary in Houston

Hi Houston! I am graduating this year and planning to take an offer in the computer science field from an energy company in Houston. I am going to have a graduate degree in CS, but I notice that the salary is significantly lower than the big tech from the west coast, probably due to the cost of living here. What is a good salary to live in Houston and what would be a good pay for fresh graduate in the tech sector? I would appreciate any feedback on these questions and other tips on how to live in Houston and be a cool space cowboy!!
