Taking my Boyfriend to visit me in Houston… any recommendations on bars or clubs?

I'm a local to Houston, and already have a few food and event places I'm excited for my boyfriend to try. He is from the UK, and I am very excited for him to come and want to show him the best of what I can of Houston. However, I am just recently turning 21 and have a complete lack of knowledge upon bars and clubs in Houston. I was wondering if theres any recommendations on cool ones for him to experience?
