Tailgating Advice/Things to do in Houston

Hey everyone,

My wife and I are coming to Houston from Winnipeg, Canada September 15-20. While we’re there we’re gonna catch the Houston/TCU game, the Baltimore orioles/astros games Monday/Tuesday, and the texans/colts game on Sunday.

I’m just wondering if anyone has advice on things to do in houston, or advice in general on how to make our trip more fun. Specifically on what to do for tailgating… I’ve never been to an NFL game before and tailgating just basically doesn’t exist in Canada. The game starts at noon so I don’t know how early things start, but how does it work, do you just walk around with your own beers and meet people and eat their food? Or are there vendors and stuff to buy things?
