Anybody else here tried the beers from Old Main Brewing? Aggie owned brewery brewing out of Rensch Brewing in Georgetown. As an old Ag, I guess I’m supposed to shill for these guys, but I’ve bought and sampled all three of their regular offerings and a couple of their limited releases, and I cannot say I’ve really enjoyed the experience. The beers are ok for the most part but nothing special and at least one has missed the mark as to the reported style.

As of now they are not distributing in Houston or Harris county, so if any of the tens of thousands of former students want to support this venture, it means a trip to College Station. I picked up my order from Aggieland Outfitters. This is where my skin really starts to crawl. Aggieland Outfitters is a gift store. Filled with aggie necessities like shirts, hoodies and the like but also aggie branded things like aggie monopoly, aggie dominos, aggie salsa, aggie coffee and aggie popcorn… So buying this beer there almost felt like buying some cheap gimmick beer with a block ATM slapped on it.

Just my two cents, but I believe if they want to be taken seriously, they should end the association with gift shops and get to work on a College Station tap room.

Hey me again, sold off a good portion of my bottles, but still have a lot left to get rid of, Ive reduced all the prices previously per advice from a lot of you to help get rid of what I haven’t sold yet.
