Tacos A Go Go Debuts “Most Experimental” Location Near Greenway Plaza
Long-running Tacos A Go Go has opened its fifth location near Greenway Plaza at 3773 Richmond, and the company is trying something new. Actually, there are several fresh features, including corn and flour tortillas freshly made onsite, coffee cocktails and the largest patio of all its locations. In addition, this location is also serving as the new home of sister concept Fajitas A Go Go, which formerly had its own brick-and-mortar on Kirby. Customers can order from either restaurant menu at the counter. (Fajitas can also be ordered online for pickup or delivery via Uber Eats.)
The new location, which occupies the space that once housed a Jenni’s Noodle House, has enough room to play in. “We’re excited to try new things at this location,” said Sharon Haynes via press release, who founded Tacos A Go Go along with chef Maribel Gomez. “We’re calling this our ‘taco lab’ – we’ll be experimenting with new drinks, new happy hour specials and new monthly tacos, along with fresh tortillas and a big patio space.” About that big patio: it’s 2,200 square feet and can seat 100.

To accompany the breakfast tacos — which are served all day — there’s a coffee bar serving espresso drinks, such as lattes, cappuccinos and Mexican-style coffees.
Espresso and coffee make appearances in the new cocktail program, too. There’s a classic Carajillo, or espresso with Liquor 43 served over ice and TAGG Horchata Latte with housemade horchata, espresso and Abasalo Mexican whiskey. Those who want something decadent and boozy might also consider Spiked Hot Chocolate with Crema de Alba and Espolon tequila. Other cocktails debuting on the drink list include Perfect Patron Margarita, Pineapple Serrano Margarita and Rum-Chata. During happy hour, which runs all day on the weekends, pitchers of beer, margaritas, palomas, mimosas and bloody marys are half-price. There are also monthly taco specials.
This location is also making use of a new ordering system. Customers can use their mobile devices while at the restaurant and the food will be brought to their tables, which makes ordering additional tacos, sides and drinks convenient.
There’s plenty of free parking in the garage; the entrance is at Cummins and and Portsmouth. Curbside pickup is available, too — just park in one of the designated spaces.
