Surviving HCTRA

Hi! I just graduated and am new to the area (moved here for work) from northern Arizona and toll roads are new to me. I got an EZ-tag and I’ve looked at my route from the house I am renting to work and it’s gonna cost me ~$10/day ($2600/yr minimum) to drive round trip to work not including running errands, etc… the other longer route will only cost me ~6/day but makes my drive to work over an hour long. I feel like that’s an outrageous amount of money just to drive not to mention the time and gas cost of it as well… is there any recommendations for how to save money here with this? Thank you!
