Surgery Center/Clinics + New Grads

Good morning!

I’ll be graduating with my ADN in May, and moving to Houston.

I’m dead-set on perioperative care. I’ve spoken to recruiters and have several residency applications pending.

Having been a tech for many years and wanting to grow my family, I’ve become interested in surgery centers or outpatient facilities. I understand there’s a consensus that we must build our skills and pay our dues, but is it possible to be trained in a clinic? If it became clear I would sign a contract pledging long-term employment would that help my case? My intention is to be in one place long-term.

Wondering if anyone had experience getting into a clinic position as a new grad.
