Support the USA National Cricket Team In Pearland This Weekend!

The USA Men’s National Cricket Team is currently participating in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 Tournament, which is a qualification stage to the Cricket World Cup. USA Cricket is hosting this tournament in Pearland, and we’re competing against Scotland, UAE, Nepal, and Oman. The USA team has been doing very well in the tournament and recently handily whooped the tournament’s top-ranked team Oman, yesterday.

USA will play their final matches of the tournament at the Moosa Cricket Stadium this weekend: (Tickets)

  • USA vs Nepal: Jun 11 @10:30 am
  • USA vs Oman: Jun 12 @10:30 am
  • USA vs Nepal: Jun 15 @10:30 am

This is an ODI (One Day International) tournament, which means that games normally last around 8 hours (four hours per innings, one inning per side). While it can be boring, it can also be a nice relaxing experience to just chill. In addition, since each side only has one inning, they only get one shot and there’s a lot more pressure to not get out yet still put up a good total. This is a good video explaining the rules.

USA has very few fans (For some of the matches, I’ve literally been the only person in the entire ground that has shown up to support them) and could really use some support. The Nepal matches will be very intense since USA has a bit of a rivalry with Nepal and there will be a lot of Nepal fans who show up. If you’re free and want to support the USA National Cricket team even if only for a portion of the match, come out!
