Suggestions or tips for living in Houston

I’m moving to Houston from Atlanta is there tips or things I need to know before moving ? Ofc I know to have a vehicle which is essential to get to most places in Houston but any other tips is appreciated . Also what areas that’s near the city or near downtown are good areas to look into
