Suggestions for incoming football fans for Texans game

Hi, we're traveling into town for a Texsns game this season and looking for suggestions on where to dine and drink. Planning to stay near the Galleria but I hear that closes early. If we go to a Thursday night game, are there any suggestions on nightlife between the stadium and Galleria? Or elsewhere? It'll be a handful of 30-40 year old guys.
